Tell us about your small business, what type of products do you offer? What is your must have item?
CGC is based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and ships Canada wide. We carry a variety of high-quality cosmetic grade glitters, micas, and glow in the dark powders along with a section of cold transfer foils and striping tapes. We are the only authorized reseller of Bioglitter™ in Canada. We pride ourselves on our custom mixes collection that now has more than 125 options you can’t get anywhere else, must haves include – Ocean, Rex, Lala & Penelope.
How do you stay connected with your customers and maintain strong relationships with them?
Having my customers feel a sense of community is my focus, I want everyone who enjoys glitter to have a space where they can chat, share their work, and ask questions at any level and be treated with nothing but kindness, encouragement, and respect. I think our Facebook group does an amazing job with this; I’d invite you to join if you aren’t already a member. I’m also hopeful this new newsletter will also be a great way to stay connected. What advice would you give to someone considering starting their own small business based on your experiences?
Start small, find your footing, and build your base. You will come across expenses you never expected, buy used or try to repurpose other things if you can. Get creative.
